Erin Cosler Appointed as Interim CEO
On June 26th, Erin Cosler stepped into the role of interim CEO, leading the national mentoring nonprofit as it enters its next stage. Cosler has been with College Mentors for Kids for nearly 15 years. During that time, she most recently served as Chief Operating Officer, a role she assumed in February 2025; previously, she led the Operations team as National Director of Operations and earlier served as Associate Director of Programming.
Cosler will work alongside the board of directors and staff to advance the organization’s mission of transforming the lives of kids and college students through mentoring relationships. She will oversee 29 chapters in eight states, serving 2,250 children in grades 1–6.
“I have been a part of the College Mentors staff team for 15 years, and I am honored to lead the team during this transition. We’re happy for Shelley in her new opportunity and very sad to see her go; and, we have a strong team dedicated to a mission as important now as ever. I look forward to a great start to our program year in August and continuing to serve our little buddies and college students as they each grow through the transformative power of mentoring.”
Cosler will work closely with the board of directors as they work to identify the organization’s next long-term Chief Executive Officer. College Mentors for Kids is pleased to have Cosler lead with dedication to its mission while that work continues.
Cosler received her bachelor’s degree in International Management from Butler University.
Cosler succeeds Shelley Hunter, who served as CEO for 10 years.
