VP of Fundraising: Manages and coordinates chapter fundraising 3. VP of Programming: Ensures chapter is meeting programmatic standards 4. VP of Activity Planning: Plans and executes weekly activities
Structured Activity Plans
Unlike other mentoring programs we combine mentoring with a structured activity model. Meaning, our college students follow an activity plan based on our three learning objectives: 1. Higher Education & Career 2. Culture & Diversity 3. Community Service
Every week our 'little buddies' participate in an activity that takes place on a college campus. This allows them to experience the facilities that college students have access to. Whether that is a library, lab, theater or museum it allows them to experience college first-hand.
Our program is dual impact. While our elementary 'little buddies' are paving ways to brighter futures our college student mentors are learning the importance of community involvement and leadership.
By bringing the children to college campuses they are exposed to higher education at a young age. This has the greatest impact on their impressionable minds because it is when habits are still forming.
