INDIANAPOLIS, IN – College Mentors for Kids, a national youth mentoring nonprofit, announces the appointment of new members to its board of directors, as well as the full slate of officers and members for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.
Joining the board of directors are Gershom Davis, Kelly Frank, Ben Kitto, and Keith Martin. College Mentors for Kids board chair, Sheila Dollaske shared, “We are thrilled to welcome this class of board members who bring expertise in their fields, passion for the College Mentors for Kids mentor program, and commitment to service. Their unique perspectives will strengthen our board’s vision as we work to impact more kids and college students nationwide.”
Gershom Davis joins the board of directors after serving on the College Mentors for Kids finance committee. Davis, an Accounting Manager with Genesys, is a seasoned finance and accounting professional with over 19 years of experience in the field.
Kelly Frank, President and Owner of philanthropic consulting firm Social Legends, joins the board of directors, providing expertise in system building and alignment, coalition building, collective impact, capacity building, and partnership cultivation and development. Before consulting, Frank, an alumna of the program, also served as CEO of the national office in the early years of the program.
Ben Kitto, a member of the organization’s finance committee, joins the College Mentors for Kids board of directors. An active member of the Columbus, Ohio community, Kitto is an associate in Ice Miller’s Municipal Finance group..
Keith Martin, Managing Director of Football Operations for USA Football, joins the College Mentors for Kids board of directors. Prior to his work with USA Football, Martin spent 28 years with the National Collegiate Athletic Association, most recently serving as its managing director of championships and alliances.
In addition to the four new board members, College Mentors for Kids welcomes two student representatives, Joseph Cook, chapter president of the College Mentors for Kids chapter at University of Evansville and Mariel Grove, chapter president of the College Mentors for Kids chapter at Ball State University. Cook and Grove will serve a one year term and provide first-hand knowledge of the program to the board of directors, representing 3,200 college student volunteers who participate in the College Mentors for Kids program on their campuses.
