Mentoring transforms lives: we connect kids to college students through weekly on-campus activities that inspire growth, confidence, and brighter futures.
January is National MentoringMonth. Launched in 2002 by MENTOR National and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, National MentoringMonth is focused on raising awareness for mentoring and how mentoring amplifies change. Did you know that young people who have mentors are 55% more likely to be enrolled in college and 78% more likely to volunteer regularly in their communities? That's the power of one meaningful relationship. And that's why together, with MENTOR National, we are amplifying the possibities of mentoring and it's power to change not only the life of the mentee, but the life of the mentor.
We are proud to join MENTOR National in celebrating and promoting mentoring. We know that mentoring makes a difference. And, we are especially grateful for our mentors and chapter leaders who show up each week. Your effort and time does not go unnoticed. You are changemakers.
Join us for our virtual Inspire Celebration on February 25 at 7 PM EST! We will share stories about College Mentors, how chapters have adjusted to a virtual program, and honor chapter leaders, partners, and mentors who are going above and beyond. We can't wait!
Inspiring Alumni Award nominations are due January 25
Do you know a College Mentors for Kids alum that continues to exemplify and further our mission and values since graduating from the program? Honor them by nominating them for the Inspiring Alumni Award this weekend. We can't wait to recognize their commitment to giving back at the 2021 Virtual Inspire Celebration!
