Headquarters Staff Undergoes Exciting Change In Growth
College Mentors for Kids headquarters started June with an expansion of its programming staff. Brian Laskey was hired as an associate program director to support program growth.
“With our Mentor Program growing to serve more youth and expanding to include middle school students in College Connection, changes and additions to our staff are necessary,” said Vice President of Programs Amanda Koushyar.
Brian Laskey will work with Anderson, Ball State, Butler, Franklin, Hanover, Illinois State, IU, IUPUI and Purdue. He will provide direct assistance to chapters through site visits and annual planning.
Laskey, a first generation college-student and recent graduate of Purdue University (’08), joins the headquarters staff after mentoring at the Purdue Chapter for four years. His involvement with the Purdue Chapter included serving the roles of mentor, activities director, general manager and a two-year chapter president. He also served as a student representative on College Mentors Board of Directors during the 2007-2008 term.
“I’m excited to step into my new role as associate program director and help College Mentors touch as many lives as possible,” said Laskey.
